Matty Chirch presents the first-ever [pure joy.] records event!

A daytime gathering of sound, art, and self-expression at The Faight. Beginning at 2 PM, the Faight Artists' Community Gallery takes over with work from 35+ local artists, interactive exhibits, and live creations. 

At 3 PM, [pure joy.] moves into music with DJs and selectors carrying the party through 8 PM.

Expect art, music, live performances, interactive installations, a tea lounge, local artisans, immersive visuals, and plenty of room to dance. 
 
All ages are welcome!

Very excited to have SF local Lyja Brown involved in the first-ever [pure joy.] Darty (Day-Party), plus a very close and special friend, Xaman, coming all the way in from Bogotá, Colombia. It's also the first time Matty Chirch is linking up with longtime homies, Fusion B2B Soulfunky from the Groovewell crew, for an amazing day of music!

Fusion, a Phonobar SF resident and SF-based DJ, crafts a genre-blurring sound deeply rooted in his cultural connection to the energy of dance music and b-boy roots. He transforms the dance floor into a space where rhythm and exploration intertwine seamlessly.

Soulfunky boasts an eclectic repertoire spanning a wide range of genres. Prioritizing overall feeling over specific styles or genres, his sets are a vibrant tapestry, weaving together a diverse palette of sounds with his signature flair.

Lyja

Lyja is a Bay Area–based DJ known for funky tunes and vocal-forward sets that blend house, disco, minimal, tech house, and nostalgic throwbacks into an infectious, feel-good dancefloor experience.

Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Lyja has deep roots in the music scene, and her childhood sparked a lifelong passion for producing events and collecting music. After years working behind the scenes, she found her way behind the decks – and the rest, naturally, was history. She's opened for artists like Folamour, Purple Disco Machine, and Chromeo; performed at festivals including Lightning in a Bottle, Northern Nights, and Dirtybird Campout; and played at iconic nightlife staples A Club Called Rhonda and Resolute.

Matty Chirch

[pure joy.]

Matty Chirch is a music producer, multi-instrumentalist, and mixing and mastering engineer who founded [pure joy.] records to give emerging artists a platform for self-expression. He blends classic sounds, innovative structures, and groovy bass lines to keep listeners engaged with every release. Drawing on his diverse musical background, Matty enjoys sharing his knowledge of classic sounds and funky grooves. He’s dedicated to crafting tracks for dance floors across decades.

He has performed alongside some of the greats, including M.K., Camelphat, Will Clarke, Jamie XX, Obskür, and more.

XAMAN

Bogotá, Colombia

XAMAN, aka Andres Gomez, is a Colombian-based DJ with more than 15 years in the electronic music industry, developing a unique identity that blends ethnic, deep, and organic tribal house sounds to create strong dancefloor vibes.
XAMAN has shared the stage with influential DJs such as Musumeci, Oostil, Magit Cacoon, Latmun, Nathan Barato, Christ Burstain, Britta Arnold, Kamilo Sancle-mente, Giovanni Aparicio, and KINTAR, among others.
In addition to his residency at Octava Club in his home city of Bogotá, Colombia, he has performed in many cities worldwide, including Mexico, San Francisco, and ALUNA FESTIVAL in Palomino, Colombia.
